hosting
For the Wandering Souls
Have you ever thought of getting a website, but you don't have enough money to buy a domain or a hosting package? Well, Licious.ORG offers free hosting for unfortunate webmaster candidates; just like what my old hostess
did to me in the past years. Our domain name, licious, is something that can make
your subdomain look tasty... or so I thought. 8D;;
What I will host
- art sites / design portfolio
- anime / manga / videogame collectives
- anime / manga / videogame shrines
- any type of Japan or art-related site for your domain, only if you already registered one
- ....and that's it for now.
Requirements
- Have some FTP knowledge
- Have decent designing/html skills. I might sound kind of bitter about this, sorry. Take a look at my current hostees if you want to see my standards.
- Willing to keep in touch with me through LiveJournal—which means
you'll also have to tell me when you go on hiatus.
- Do not allow your visitors to direct link.
- You wouldn't need to link Licious.org on every single page. But make sure you link this domain somewhere visible: for example, the main / splash page.
- Do not upload mp3s ( upload it to mediafire or somewhere else ) and/or porn.
- have fun!
And what you will get
- your own ftp account
- your very own licious URL! ( http://whatever.licious.org )
- 50 MB of space for starters. can be upgraded, just ask. :3
- enough bandwidth, bb.
- an email forwarder ( whatever@licious.org )
- a new friend which happens to be your host. :)
And the following are extra benefits that only domain hostees will receive:
- 200 MB of space for starters. If you need more, just ask!
- your own cPanel X
- unlimited MySQL databases
- unlimited subdomains
- unlimited FTP accounts.
Now if you're still interested... :D just poke me at sugariespice @ licious.org with the following information:
Name:
Type of Site:
Subdomain or domain?: subdomain / www.yourdomain.com
Know FTP: Yes / No
Design examples: temporary URL or screenshots.
(art sites only) Artwork examples:
And I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible. The most determining aspect is your type of site and design/html skills. If you're accepted, then I will reply to your mail by asking about your desired ftp account, subdomain, and the likes. :) If by any chance you're rejected and still want a licious URL, you may go this way. |
